Does the Holy Spirit Make You Feel Warm?

As a Christian, the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives is important. It acts as our mentor, comforter, and guide in all our love-doings. The ways of the holy spirit are unique and differ across individuals.

The Holy Spirit doesn’t make you warm, although it has different physical manifestations. If you feel warm, it might be caused by stress, illness, or anxiety. When the presence of the Holy Spirit entertains a believer, his life improves positively.

The Holy Spirit’s entrance into Christian life is for spiritual upliftment. It is a comforter and comes to show us the way of God. Read on as we talk about how the Holy Spirit makes us feel.

Does the Holy Spirit Make You Feel Warm?

While there are different ways the holy spirit manifests,  it doesn’t make you feel warm. When an individual is warm, it might be because of several medical or physiological reasons. People who have fevers usually experience their bodies going warm.

Also, if you are stressed at work or stay for a while under the sun, your body might heat up. The holy spirit brings peace and will not cause any physical infirmities in believers.

Who Is the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is part of the tripod of the Holy Trinity. In some verses of the Bible, it is known as the comforter, advocate, helper, and guide. It is the power of God that resides in all believers. One major reference to the Holy Spirit in the Scriptures is:

‘’ There appeared to be those divided tongues, like fire, and they sat on everyone. And they were all filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. They started speaking in tongues: ”

Acts 2:3 NLV

It is seen by some believers as the source of many gifts and abilities. It is believed that this spirit gives Christians the power of prophecy, healing, and tongues.

The passage in the heart looks as if the Holy Spirit appeared as a burning fire. However, we can see that they didn’t feel any burning sensations but were filled with peace.

Also, in Luke 24:32, it was said that their hearts burned when God spoke to them on the road. You can see that it’s more metaphorical than physical. It’s more of a sensation than a physical feeling.

What Happens When the Holy Spirit Comes Upon Us?

When the Holy Spirit moves into us, here are the visible manifestations:

Word of Wisdom

There is an immediate rise in our level of understanding. We now know more about the purpose and will of God. As seen in Genesis 50:20 and Acts 4:13–20, people with the holy spirit get a deep revelation about God’s plan in their lives.

Knowledge

Not everyone has a deep knowledge of earthly or heavenly matters. And people who lack understanding might perish. The holy spirit helps increase our knowledge and understanding of hidden things.

Faith

Even Simon Peter denied Jesus three times, despite his closeness to him. Jesus acknowledged that he couldn’t leave his sheep without a shepherd. That’s why he promised to send an advocate and comforter when he was gone.

Does the Holy Spirit Make You Feel Warm

There are times when our faith is tested, but when we have the Holy Spirit, we aren’t shaken as we stand on solid ground. Acts 3:6-7 helps us understand that while some things are physically not possible, with the help of the Holy Spirit and the will of God, they become possible.

Healings

As believers, we should be able to perform healing that defines a logical explanation. While we are in the world, we have a father who is bigger than the world. Believers with the Holy Spirit witness a divine gift of healing. When you have healing abilities, all physical touch infirmities will be a thing of the past.

Miracles

Miracles are part of how the Holy Spirit manifests in God’s children. When the presence of the Holy Spirit is felt, physical infirmities will be gone. Healing the sick and old through the power of the Holy Spirit will be possible.

Prophecy

You will be inspired by the Holy Spirit about future events to prevent believers from taking the wrong steps. In Acts 2:14–40, the apostle was able to tell others what God had in store for them. It is different from divinity, which tends to mimic the power of God using mediums and sorcerers. As a prophet, you will be able to foretell events through the help of God’s spirit.

Speak in Different Languages

It is only through the Holy Ghost that we can speak in different tongues. Corinthians 14:2 helps us understand that when we are imparted by the Holy Spirit, we learn spiritual language and communicate with God.

What You Should Know About the Holy Spirit?

If you haven’t had an encounter with the Holy Spirit, here is what you should know about it:

The Holy Spirit is the element with which all Christians are born.

The Bible states :

12 For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.

13 For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:12–13 (New Revised Standard Version)

The Apostle Paul was talking about how crucial the role of the Holy Spirit is in conversion. Christians are one in the body and spirit of God. It is this spirit that unites us all in Christ.

There Is a Difference Between Being Filled With the Holy Spirit and Being Baptized With the Holy Spirit

When we talk about self-baptism, we are discussing receiving the Holy Spirit during repentance and conversion. This is an instant process that deals with the immersion of believers, and it is a permanent step.

However, being filled with the Spirit means having an ongoing relationship with the Holy Spirit. It is an intimate and educational walk with God. It isn’t permanent because, with sin, we can lose this relationship. However, we can be reconnected with the Holy Spirit when we learn from our mistakes and seek forgiveness from God.

The Holy Spirit Cannot Baptize You; God Does

There is a misconception among some Christians that the Holy Spirit baptizes believers. However, this has no biblical backup. In Mark 1:8 and John 1:33, we can see John the Baptist saying that while he baptized with water, Jesus Christ is the one that will baptize in the spirit. Christ will immerse us in spirit so that we can continue to do his works.

The Holy Spirit Secures Our Salvation

All Christians aim to be able to make heaven. There is no way to salvation except through Christ. To reach Christ, we need to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is under the direction of the Holy Spirit that our salvation is secure. However, it is done using special grace, which the Holy Spirit asks on our behalf. Irrespective of our spiritual standing, we can only reach heaven when we follow the word of God.

Conclusion

The Holy Spirit manifests itself to believers through different physical and spiritual means. We can’t find any scriptures that say the holy spirit makes one warm. The Holy Ghost is gentle and shows us what God wants from us.
